What the money-back promise covers
Claim 1
How We Count “14,000+ Clients Served”
A count of real case files. Not website visits, newsletter subscribers, or consultation calls.
One signed representation agreement with one client. We round down to the nearest thousand.
Every practice area, not just Federal Disability Retirement: OWCP Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability, and VA Disability are also included. It also includes clients whose cases are still in progress. That’s why this figure is larger than the 11,131 decided Disability Retirement applications behind our success rate.
Free consultations that did not become cases, webinar attendees, newsletter subscribers, and anyone who contacted the firm without signing a representation agreement.
The firm’s internal case-management system, reviewed and updated annually.
Claim 2
How We Calculate Our 99% Success Rate
A success rate only means something if you know what was counted.
Federal Disability Retirement cases approved ÷ all Harris Federal applications OPM decided in the same period.
A written OPM approval of the Disability Retirement application at initial application, reconsideration, or MSPB appeal. (The MSPB, or Merit Systems Protection Board, is the body that hears federal employee appeals.)
Pending decisions, cases the client withdrew, and the rare case where our firm withdrew from representation before a decision was issued. Also excluded are matters outside Federal Disability Retirement. OWCP, SSDI, and VA Disability are tracked separately.
Every approval in this count is evidenced by a written decision letter issued by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and retained in the client’s file. The totals are compiled from the firm’s case-management records and reconciled against those letters.
Attested by Leah Bachmeyer Kille, Managing Partner, as of September 2026. The figures are recalculated and re-attested annually.
Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Every case moves on its own medical evidence, service history, and agency record. This isn’t meant to be a prediction about your case, and nothing here creates an attorney-client relationship.
Claim 3
Our 100% Money-Back Promise
We’re able to offer the promise on most of the cases we accept, but not all of them. A small number of cases carry enough risk that we cannot extend it. You will never have to wonder which applies to you: whether the promise is part of your case is stated in your representation agreement, so you know before you sign anything.
