Due to his degenerative disc disease and plantar fasciitis, lifting baggage and being on his feet all day was impossible. To make matters worse, he spent a great deal of time inhaling jet fumes that aggravated his COPD. After 11 years of service, his job duties became too much to handle.
Mr. S contacted us in July of 2013. We immediately began working with his medical providers and employer to collect and assemble documentation proving he was no longer capable of performing the duties of his position. His application for Federal Disability Retirement was submitted to the OPM in September of 2013. We are happy to announce that just 3 months later, in December of 2013, Mr. S’s application for disability retirement has been approved!
