The Harris Federal team is proud to announce we’ve launched a new laws student scholarship program for U.S. law students! We value education and a commitment to justice. Our scholarship program is designed to help rising 2L and 3L law students with expenses as they make their way through law school.

One student will be awarded one $1,000 scholarship to go towards educational expenses for the Fall 2016 semester. To enter the contest, applicants must write a 500 – 1,000 word persuasive essay about one of the following topics:

  1. At Harris Federal Law Firm, we are committed to helping federal workers overcome the obstacles they face as a result of a medical condition. What qualities and values do you possess, and how have those qualities and values helped you overcome certain obstacles in your life?
  2. Our attorneys chose to pursue a legal career, which champions the rights of federal workers. What primarily motivated you to attend law school? How will that motivation impact your career as a legal professional?

The essays will then be judged by our team, and the judging will be based on accuracy, grammar, style and originality.

Completed applications must be submitted no later than July 15, 2016. Application materials should be emailed in .pdf, .doc or .docx format only to Hannah Cornett at scholarship@harrisfederal.com.  We will announce the winner on July 27, 2016.

We are so excited about this new program! Please spread the word, and share this with your friends, family and any law students you know who may be interested in applying.

The complete scholarship information can be found on the scholarship page of our website.
