Bio

Not long after he joined his father’s law office in 2002, Bo Harris had an experience that inspired his vision for Harris Federal Law Firm. More than 10 years later his company is helping federal workers nationwide with disabilities and retirement benefits. Bo Harris and his staff have secured millions of dollars in benefits for thousands of injured and disabled federal employees from across the country.

It all started when a family friend approached Bo and his father, Brad looking for assistance after becoming injured while working as a postal worker. Brad Harris was primarily focused on personal injury cases and did not handle any federal disability work at that time.

“Our team has a strong commitment to helping federal workers secure a better future through their federal benefits. ”

– President Bo Harris

Driven by a desire to help federal employees and a background in business management, Bo took on the responsibility of running the company’s federal disability practice. For years, he and other members of the company spent their time learning about the federal system through research, training, and hands-on experience.

“We have spent over two decades becoming knowledgeable on federal employee benefits,” Bo says.

After successfully completing an intensive training course and passing a rigorous examination on all federal employee benefits, Bo earned accreditation as a Federal Retirement Consultant (FRC).

“We absolutely love working with federal employees,” Bo says. “We get a great deal of satisfaction out of it – and we take our job seriously. We know our clients are depending on us to give them sound advice that is right and makes sense for their unique case. Our FRC accreditation shows our commitment to them.”

Over the past decade, the firm has grown from a regional practice with clients in the Lexington, KY area to having a national presence and assisting clients from coast-to-coast. Bo is immensely proud that Harris Federal Law Firm, has successfully represented federal employees in all 50 states. As a result of the successes in their new practice, Brad Harris has completely transitioned out of his personal injury practice and into federal disability work.

With a strong commitment to helping federal workers, Harris Federal Law Firm has become a leader in federal employee benefits and disability retirement cases.

The goal of serving federal workers has remained unchanged, even as the firm transitioned to a national client base. Bo Harris and his staff take great satisfaction in helping federal employees and veterans who are struggling to overcome the bureaucratic red tape of the government and get the benefits that they deserve.

“The good thing about their benefits programs is that they’re long-term benefits,” Bo says. “Whenever you get a federal employee approved, you’re securing their future. It’s emotionally rewarding for us because we really make a difference in our client’s lives.”

The success of Harris Federal Law Firm is highlighted in the number of satisfied former clients who refer current cases to our firm.

As well as helping federal disability clients, the firm makes a significant effort in assisting the community. Harris Federal Law Firm, holds quarterly volunteer days when all employees lend a hand to Lexington-area charities, including the Ronald McDonald House for children with cancer.

“We’ve grown and we’re helping more people every day,” he says. “The journey has been great so far.”
