In order to be eligible for Federal Disability Retirement, you must be compliant with the treatment plan outlined by your medical provider. Doing so shows your effort towards treating your disability and that it is in fact impacting your ability to fully perform in your position. However, you are not required to follow through with extreme treatment plans that could be considered high risk.
